HEROS is a charitable organisation and is reliant on the generosity of members of the public to continue our work re-training and re-homing former racehorses. Any size of donation helps towards the rehabilitation, re-training and rehoming of ex-racehorses.
You can help in other ways by becoming a HEROS Helper - download the form to volunteer.
Grace Muir and her team at HEROS work long and hard with the HEROS horses, ensuring that the eventual new home provider has a friend for life in their HEROS horse. Thank you for your support.

HEROS can accept donations in several ways; whichever way you choose, please help us by using Gift Aid if you can.
Under the Gift Aid scheme, charities can reclaim an extra 25% in tax on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. Between 6 April 2008 and 5 April 2011, the government will also give UK charities an extra 3% of all eligible donations. This ‘transitional relief’ does not affect your personal tax position.
You just have to complete a declaration saying that you pay enough tax to cover what the charity will reclaim from HM Revenue & Customs.
And it gets better. If you pay tax at the higher rate, you can reclaim tax relief on your gross donation at 20% (ie the difference between the higher rate of tax at 40% and the basic rate at 20%). That means that for every pound you give away, you can get 20p back from the taxman – which you can keep, or give to charity. So the taxman could actually reward you for your generosity!
