1987 bay gelding
by General Assembly out of A Red Red Rose
Trainer when racing: D L Williams
Race Record: 36 runs, 1 second and 2 thirds
Total Prize Money: £1,281
Highlight of Career: Retirement to North Farm Stud!
Unfortunately 'Murphy' was not the greatest racehorse, as you can see from his race record, but he was the greatest riding horse ever. He gave Grace years of fun hacking, hunting and just being a great friend.
He has earned his retirement and lives with Rapporteur whom he adores and they are inseperable.

1986 bay gelding
by His Majesty out of Sweet Rapport
Trainer when racing: C C Elsey
Race record: 84 runs, 19 wins, 11 seconds and 9 thirds.
Total Prize Money: £83,218
Highlight of Career: 19 wins at Lingfield on turf and the all-weather and former 1 1/4 mile record holder.
Rapporteur was an amazing racehorse, well-known and heard of by most racing enthusiasts. Out of 84 runs he stayed relatively sound, with a little bit of help from his friends! He held the course record under top weight at Lingfield and paraded there on 24 May 2003 when they re-named a race after him again.
He is obviously a very tough cookie and has earned his keep. Although not a good hack he is a great mate to Murphy and they spend hours together mulling over life in the fast lane. No matter what they say these two horses are happy in the field and want for nothing; retirement to them is well worth having.

1996 brown gelding
by Dilum out of Legal Sound
Trainer when racing: D Arbuthnot
Race record: 33 runs, 6 wins, 2 seconds and 3 thirds.
Total Prize Money: £118,046
Highlight of Career: Won the Lincoln
Zucchero retired from racing in July 2004 due to a leg injury which he now fully recovered from. His racing career was very good including a 2nd in the Ladies Diamond Stakes at Royal Ascot, beaten a head and ridden by Mrs D Arbuthnot, the trainer's wife and he also won the Lincoln Handicap.
Since coming to the Stud he has been rehomed but due to sickness he returned to us and will stay here now until the end. He is the most wonderful character and is still hacked out and loves his work. I am sure he will parade at some stage for HEROS, being a good name in racing.

1995 brown gelding
by Nomadic Way out of Dreamago
Trainer when racing: Mrs F J Brown
Race record: 3 runs
Nomadic Star retired from racing in March 2004 due to a severe leg injury. He had sustained a severe tendon injury which is still repairing. However he is a great companion and loves other horses and people. Our vet has created a cast for his leg which has increased his quality of life and he is now happily enjoying his retirement with the other boys.

Good Samaritan really does live up to his name as he is a super horse with a lovely temperament. His racing career was cut short when he suffered a bad injury.
